Claudia Nour Cosmetics

Claudia Nour Cosmetics is a natural make up brand created by Claudia Nour in 2014. The brand is” inspired by faith and powered by beauty” : makeup is handcrafted in New York, halal , whudhu* friendly and Eco-friendly.

Personally, I’m not that into makeup , I only wear it occasionally. Usually, I’d sit in front of the mirror for an hour to do my makeup. Then, I realize I look better without it.So I remove it, wash my face and go out telling myself makeup is not for me.

After starting this blog, I decided to give makeup another chance ; who knows, maybe I’d fall in love with organic makeup or maybe the chemicals in makeup I used to buy made me feel so guilty that I felt ugly with makeup.

I have sensitive acne prone skin and I’m aware that  I should be cautious when choosing my products. For days, I checked many websites for a medium coverage foundation, I read a lot of reviews. But, all those brands are super expensive especially for someone who’s not willing to wear makeup daily.

Then, came the day when I discovered Claudia Nour Cosmetics on Instagram. I was super excited because I was finally getting a chance to try natural makeup  at an  affordable price.

I ordered few samples since I’m not sure what skin tone I have. And guess what? I was super surprised ! I’ve always had the silly thought that makeup has to be toxic and expensive to make me look beautiful.

Here is what I received for about 16$ !

These samples came in a small cute pouch.

So cute ! Right?

Ingredients :

None of the products has Talc, Mineral oil, Bismuth oxychloride, Nano particles, Parabens , Silicones or Artificial dyes.

Now let’s move to swatches :

The concealer:

First time in my life using a concealer. Remember ? I’m not a makeup addict. It’s AMAZING ! I applied it on every single button and under my eyes. Then I applied the mineral skin tint and blended with a foundation brush. It’s magic, my acne disappeared ! Not literally, though.

The mineral skin tint :

The mineral skin tint is similar to a liquid foundation but the texture is way more watery. I didn’t know how to use it because I thought it was a liquid foundation. I received a small pink note and followed the directions. I applied the product on my face with a foundation brush because I don’t have a beauty blender. I believe that it would look perfect if you apply it with a beauty blender. The mineral skin tint has a floral scent that I find amazing : it reminds me of a face pack my sister used to apply on my face when I was a child. I believe it has rose water.

The lipstick : my favorite

Claudia Nour cosmetics has several lipstick colors which makes choosing one so difficult. I spent minutes browsing the websites and decided to get the coral one. I love it so so so much !!!  It’s creamy and doesn’t shine. It contains avocado oil, beeswax, Shea Butter,  Cocoa butter, Magnesium Myristrate and lip safe fragrance oil.

Apart from the fact that I love this brand and that I’m willing to buy more makeup from them, this brand taught me a lesson worth sharing : you can’t judge a product by its price.

As a certified makeup junkie I am intrigued, I have never heard of this brand..but the $16 price tag for the sample kit makes it worth giving it a shot!

I hesitated before ordering because I never heard about it either. But, I like it and I recommend it for anyone looking for natural makeup at a decent price.

Never heard of this brand but I love anything with shea butter so I’ll look into it.

Oh this is so awesome!!!! Thank you so much, im so glad you liked it and you did such a lovely review! You are right the Mineral Tint is watery, that’s why I like to apply it by putting a few drops straight on the brush, (you actually dont need a beauty blender)

Sending you a big virtual hug!
